AWAK had the distinct honor of hosting our esteemed donors,The Croda Foundation, for the Resilient Recovery Project – RRP Project in a significant event in Nairobi County, where our dedicated field team, led by our National Executive Chair lady, accompanied the Executive Director of Croda Foundation, Mr. Rommel Moseley, and Grant Associate, Mr. Ben Smitton, got to visit beneficiaries from Korogocho and Kawangware slums – the heart of the RRP Project.

Revolutionizing Agriculture: AWAK’s Inspiring Impact at Mombasa ASK Show 2023

AWAK showcased the inspiring success stories of project participants who have been sponsored through the Coca Cola Foundation initiative. These individuals are actively involved in practices that promote Food Security & Nutrition, Food processing/Value addition, and Clean Energy Through techniques like Urban farming, Baking, and Briquettes making, they are transforming their lives and making a real impact on their communities. AWAK in collaboration with the Mombasa County Government Department of Blue Economy Agriculture and Livestock won three awards in the agriculture category.

Our National Executive Chairlady Ms. Judy Matu had the honor and the privilege to announce the WAYA 2023 winner for the value addition category at the ongoing #AGRF2023 summit.
The #Value4Her Women Agriprenuers of the Year Award (WAYA) is a prestigious recognition initiative led by AGRA and launched in 2021 as part of AGRA’s flagship Value4Her program. The award aims to empower women Agriprenuers across Africa.

AWAK Partners with ICRISAT to Implement World- Bank Funded Project, Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa(AICCRA) in Taita Taveta County

AWAK has teamed up with the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) to spearhead a transformative project in Kitui, Makueni, and Taita Taveta counties. This initiative, aptly named the ‘Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa’ (AICCRA), is set to usher in a new era of climate-resilient farming practices, propelling local communities toward prosperity and sustainability.
