The Association of Women in Agriculture Kenya (AWAK) had the distinct honor of hosting our esteemed donors for the Resilient Recovery Project – RRP Project, The Croda Foundation . This significant event unfolded in Nairobi County, where our dedicated field team, led by our National Executive Chair lady, accompanied the Executive Director of Croda Foundation, Mr. Rommel Moseley, and Grant Associate, Mr. Ben Smitton, on a visit to Korogocho and Kawangware slums—the heart of the RRP Project.

The day was marked by profound interactions with the project’s beneficiaries, offering a firsthand look at the transformative impact the RRP project has had on these communities. The donors were visibly impressed by the depth and scope of the project, particularly in the realms of Food Security & Nutrition, Clean and Affordable Energy, and Women’s Economic Empowerment. The tangible and measurable improvements observed justified the donors’ decision to provide additional funding, paving the way for the project to extend its reach to 1000 more beneficiaries. A resounding round of applause is due for this remarkable achievement.
