AWAK’s Rural Resilience Program (RRP) has been instrumental in equipping women with essential livelihood skills, but the our dedication extends far beyond the project’s completion. Recognizing the importance of sustainability and lasting impact, AWAK has proactively forged strategic partnerships to support our beneficiaries throughout their entrepreneurial journey.

Today, we proudly announce the onboarding of these exceptional women into the SBDC program. Leveraging the best practices in business development and advisory services from the renowned U.S. Small Business Development Center model, this initiative aims to establish a local network of county-based business centers.

The SBDC project holds immense promise for AWAK beneficiaries, enabling them to capitalize on local and export market opportunities more effectively. By enhancing access to finance, applying market analytics, and benefiting from a supportive business-enabling policy environment at the county level, AWAK aims to strengthen the economic competitiveness of these talented women farmers.
