In a collaborative effort to promote gender inclusivity in strategic planning, the Association of Women in Agriculture Kenya (AWAK) took part in the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) Validation workshop. The workshop, which convened at Mercure Hotel in Nairobi County, aimed at gathering feedback for KNBS’s draft strategic plan for the years 2023 – 2027.

AWAK’s representation at the workshop was instrumental in ensuring that the strategic plan addresses the unique needs and concerns of women in agriculture. The feedback received from AWAK and other stakeholders in attendance will contribute to crafting a strategic plan that is not only comprehensive but also sensitive to the gender-specific challenges faced by the community.
